Energy is the most precious currency you have right now. Small, repeatable routines protect it so you can be present for your children and yourself.
1) The 3-minute reset
Create a 3-minute reset you can do anywhere: five slow breaths, a wrist stretch, and sipping water. Use this between appointments or difficult conversations.
2) Two tasks rule
Each day, choose only two things that must happen. Everything else is optional. This prevents the endless “to-do” list from draining you.
3) Gentle boundaries with visitors
Create a short, loving message guests can read: e.g., “Thank you for visiting — hugs welcome, but I may need rest.” Post it on your door or share before visits so you don’t need to explain in the moment.
4) Nighttime soft-close
Spend five minutes before bed doing a low-energy ritual: dim lights, soft music, and a short gratitude note (one thing that felt okay today). It signals rest to your body.
